MOTHER'S CIRCLES

(AVAILABLE ONLINE & IN PERSON)

Mother's circles are a space where mothers come together. Where we are free to be themselves and where we can be nourished, supported, accepted and heard. 

In the circle you can (finally!) have some time just for you. Time to land in your own body,  to reflect upon a powerful theme, and to feel the incredible support of sharing what is in your heart. It is a space to sit with kind, supportive women who understand you, and will simply listen to you. In turn they too give you the opportunity to hear them and accept them in their vulnerability, unique/universal experience and wisdom. The only rules of the circle are that no-one offers advice, no-one judges and that all shared in the circle is totally confidential.

Something magical happens in the Mothers Circle. Through the simple practice of coming together just as we are, we uncover and share the mundane and profound experiences we all are living, and we begin to consciously navigate all the transformations taking place within us through the practice of motherhood. 

Mamas realise they are not alone and feel themselves as part of a collective of sisters who understand them.

Women who feel weak begin to recognise the immense strength, and wisdom that was inside them all along.

And all women can make space for the authentic, humble, funny, profound, raw wisdom that can be gained on the journey of motherhood.

Through sisterhood, self reflection and self care - deep healing occurs. 

Every woman, and every mother deserves a circle! I hold circles using a specific blend of tools to nourish mothers: mind, body and spirit through the amazing process of matresence.

MOVE THE BODY

We begin the circles by giving some mindfulness to the body. Through gentle, feminine yoga or free expression dance we can stretch out some of the aches and pains. We return our awareness to our amazing bodies, and release some tension and stress, all the while enjoying the feeling of moving just for the joy of it.

SELF REFLECTION

We are given time to reflect upon one of the many areas of our lives impacted by motherhood. We think, we feel, we journal,  and through this we can take stock of the many changes inside and outside us. We identify supportive changes in our minds, and our our choices that we can make to change our lives for the better.

SHARING CIRCLES

We share from the heart. We have space to be seen and heard in our joys and our challenges- without judgment or advice. We learn also to listen with our hearts, and when we do this we hear the beautiful, sad, funny, powerful, inspiring  and wise stories of our sisters.

The stories that arise are fascinating, they make us laugh and cry, they echo aspects of our own experiences or show us entirely different possibilities and worlds. 

Each circle is different. Each circle is precious, and each mother is welcome just as she is.

GUIDED MEDITATION

We close our circles with a grounding, and integrating  Yoga Nidra meditation. This short, yummy practice helps us relax our bodies, come home to ourselves, integrate all that we have learned and close the sessions feeling grounded and relaxed. 

Yoga nidra meditation also brings the body and mind many of the benefits of sleep so it is an especially nourishing practice for tired mamas of young children.

HOW TO JOIN

The circles are special.

In order to keep the container safe aand strong  I ask that you email me directly before joining a circle. 

There will be no obligation to sign up to anything, and no pressure to buy anything, but I will ask you a few questions to get to know you a little, and I will happily share with you all the information about the Mother's Circles I host and the next availability in the right circle for you.

Monthly Circles are on a pay-what-you-can basis so you don't need to worry about money- just come as you are.

WHICH CIRCLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

I offer 2 ways for you to circle. The Monthly Mothers Circle & the 12 Circle Mama Re-birth   

MONTHLY MOTHER'S CIRCLE

  • MEET MONTHLY - Join a gathering of amazing fellow mamas and take some monthly time to focus on you

  • ENJOY QUALITY SELF CARE- Be nourished by the yoga or movement, explore a juicy and supportive mama theme, share in the circle, and relax with the closing meditation.

  • DROP IN. No ongoing commitment is needed come to sessions when you can.

  • PAY-WHAT=YOU-CAN.  There is no fixed fee for these circles. You can give what is appropriate for you. (Or play a flat rate of £40 per 2 hour circle if you prefer.)

  • SHARE WITH YOUR SISTERS- no commitment is needed so you can more easily invite your mama friends to join the circles and share the experience and benefits with friends. 

  •  DO ANYWHERE- The monthly circles take place in physical presence wherever I am :)  in addition to online so you can be part of the circle wherever you are.

The 4 step process we go through in the Mother's Circle is designed at every step to create, nourishment and support for you as a mother and as a woman. 

 Matresence  is a multidimensional shift, all levels of your life and sense of idently are impacted all at once, and once started this evolution never stops. 

These circles support women as they go through this incredible and transformative journey, giving space for each of us to integrate all the changes we are going through, and finding ways to support ourselves in body, mind, emotions and spirit so we can go forward recognising our own strength, our own unique power, our own needs and the amazing community of mothers that we are very much part of.

THESE CIRCLES ARE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF...

  •  You are feeling overwhelmed by motherhood

  • You need some time just for you.

  • You are ready to make deep observations and changes

  • You are open to be honest and (...even if you find it a little intimidating) you are ready to talk to a kind, supportive circle of fellow mothers and to really be listened to and understood.

  • You want to make meaningful connections with other mothers and you are happy to listen without judgement or advice to their stories and experiences

  • You are happy to move your body with dance or yoga and you are happy to do short guided meditation

  • You are able to dedicate 2 whole hours to yourself and you are willing to stay for the whole session to honour yourself and the circle of sisters you sit with. 

  •  You really want to reflect upon motherhood and how it is changing you.

  • You know you would be a better and a happier mother if you took some time to care for yourself

  • You can feel the profound  potential of this time and you want to use this for your evolution and awakening

  • You are ready to acknowledge and begin to let go of your mum-guilt, shame, rage, fears and any un-realistic pressure and expectations, and to do this with love and self-compassion. 

  • You are happy to pay a donation that is affordable for you each session- for the space that is held for you and the supportive tools and gentle guidance offered within it.

THESE CIRCLES ARE NOT A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF...

  • You have clinical mental health issues that are not being supported by a trained healthcare provider or therapist. (Please seek help first and then if this work is aligned then please come to us)

  • You are a father. Sorry dear daddy, this circle is not for you at this time. Try here

  •  You don't want to go into your personal feelings and experiences and/or you don't want to share these with other mums

  •  Everything is perfect, you find motherhood super easy all the time, your life balances effortlessly in all areas and you don't have any need to share with other women.... (I haven't met many mums that fall into this category!)

  • You have adult children- You are still very welcome, but probably a general woman's circle would be more aligned. Feel free to ask me about Women's Yoga Circles, Feminine Alchemy, and the Red Tent to join women's work I am often attending and contributing to. 

  • . You aren't ready or able to take 2 whole hours just for yourself right now. I feel you mama- come back when you can. 

  • You want to come just to listen to others, or to just to give advice.

  • You were not born a woman or do not like to be labelled as one. I believe all expressions of humanity deserve honouring and that all human beings are sacred and deserve love and respect- just as they are, This includes all gender diverse beings. But my personal calling and expertise in my work is very much to serve and to celebrate women, which I define simply as adult, female, human beings (who in this context are also mothers, who have either birthed or adopted children). If this definition does not apply to you as you were born in a male body, or does not work for you as you identify yourself in a different way then I say power to you :) and I recommend this beautiful organisation for gender diverse parents.  

  • You don't believe in paying any money to attend circles and/or you don't want one woman to continuously hold space, offer tools or structure: If you prefer to  co-host and co-create spaces and/or you don't see the benefit of  the specific spaces I  hold  then this group wont be a good  fit for you. Personally I believe all circles have the potential to be deeply healing and powerful- the more the merrier! I wish you the very best in your co-creations- may they be full of goodness :)
